Jewish Heritage
Greenwood House operates in keeping with the rich traditions and values basic to the Judaic heritage. At Greenwood House, religion helps give focus to the lives of elderly residents. All food is prepared strictly according to Jewish dietary laws. Our beautiful synagogue holds services and we observe the Sabbath and religious holidays. Yiddish Circle activities and discussion groups based on Jewish and other contemporary concerns keep residents closely linked to their peer group. Activities based on Judaic heritage connect residents to the remembered society of their childhood and middle years and to their current community.
